Puretec TR20MP2 Tannin Reduction Cartridge
The Puretec TR20MP2 is a premium tannin reduction cartridge designed to remove tannins and organics from rainwater. Tannins—leached from decaying leaves and vegetation—can cause unpleasant odours, bitter tastes, and a tea-like colour in your water. While not harmful, these effects can make rainwater unpleasant to drink or use and may stain household fixtures.
Using selective ion exchange resin, the TR Series effectively reduces tannins to deliver clearer, fresher water. The cartridge can be regenerated using brine water, providing a cost-effective and sustainable solution.
For best results, use the TR20MP2 in a two- or three-stage filtration system, such as the Puretec HYBRID-G13.
A 5 micron sediment pre-filter is required to prevent premature clogging, and carbon post-filtration is recommended to further improve taste and odour.
